Stuff to do in Chengdu- Sporty, Active Stuff
Plenty of sports to do, from (natch) table tennis, badminton, footy, to cycling, hiking and climbing.

Cycling	- set off on a bike tour with www.bikechina.com
Football	Contact the Shambles A.C. They play on Wednesday from 6 to 730 at Sichuan Uni (free), and one or two games every weekend. Also, the Wanderers take part in a local Sunday league. 	Chengdu Rugby Club - Rugby every week. Full contact rugby and touch rugby. Tours to other Chinese cities and other parts of Asia. Will be a strong challenger for the all-China Cup in 2008. Click here for Google Earth location of usual rugby pitch.
Cricket	Most Sundays in the south of Chengdu, at No. 50 Middle School near B&Q.
Table-tennis, badminton, tennis	Best bet is to go to Sichuan University ('SiChuan DaXue' locally known as "Chuan Da").
Climbing and hiking	In the mountains surrounding Chengdu.
Swimming	public pools, plus the pools at the 5-star hotels. River not recommended.
Tai Qi / Tai Chi	Go to the parks in the morning or evening.
Yoga	Natasha's yoga classes at Gloria Regent are recommended: yogahousechengdu@gmail.comClasses very popular - gyms have info. Contact Random Stuff for details.
Sports shops	If Decathlon (next to IKEA, south of town) doesn't have it, check the shops near the Sheraton, or shops on 1st Ring Road just west of the junction of RenMinNanLu and 1st Ring Road. Outdoor adventure stores, and racquet sports, and basketball stuff. A few of their businss cards are here.
