in Chengdu - Pizza Chengdu
has quite a few pizza places, and we shall try to list as many
as we can.
If you have heard that Sichuan food is too spicy to eat and
will definitely give you the Chengdu doo-doos, don't believe
it.
The local food is fabulous and varied. Click here for

Still, pizza now and again
doesn't do much harm, does it? Prices range from just under 20 rmb for a small
margarita pizza, to over 60 rmb for large meaty ones. Thick crust or thin crust?
Most places just do a sort of medium-crust, but you can at least ask for variations
- most places are happy to at least try to custom-make stuff. Except for Pizza
Hut, we like all of the places listed here. We are no pizza connoisseurs (pizzasseurs?),
but for these notes, we have also consulted that ubiquitous military man, general
consensus.
The
Mutt's Nuts Pizza Delivery
Open
from 7a.m. to 2 a.m.! Depending whom you believe, rapid and reliable
delivery of tasty pizzas at good prices, or slightly unreliable
delivery of tasty pizzas at good prices. For us, they
have been quick and good each time we have ordered, mostly
within the 1st Ring Road, but their electric bike gets your
pizza v. quickly. The ‘canine danglers’ also
do burgers, English breakfast, omelettes, salads and a few other
tasty things. No problem to order in English.
Minimum orders

Pizza Hut
No!
No! In Chengdu, they (yes, they have mulitiplied) are expensive
and not very good. However lazy and unadventurous you are
feeling, you'd be urged to think again if going to PH was
on your mind. Deliveries? We've no idea. Yes, if the boss
is paying, we do eat there, but our secret's pretty safe
on this website, we reckon.
Sardinia

especially like the good value ‘create your own’ pizza
(i.e. you choose the toppings, they cook it).
Our love-handles wouldn’t survive without this place (or most of the others
listed here). Nice pizza, pretty quick delivery, and they do other stuff apart
from pizza. If you can be bothered to get up, and go to the place, there's a
bar, too. Sardinia Pizza's near WuHou Temple, so if you've had a bit of a pizza
pig-out, you can get all worthy again by popping into the temple, until you realise
that it's infested with nauseatingly crowded touristy stuff. Deliveries:

Shamrock Open
from around 11am to around midnight, the kitchens of
this pub on RenMinNanLu produce pizza that is more
than acceptable. Best to leave it a few minutes when
it arrives on the table, since it can be a bit too
gooey before it has set a little. We like the chicken
pizza, and the Hawaiian pizza. Actually, they're all
pretty good. If you can pay bar bottle prices, they
also deliver booze. Dangerous. Nice. Pretty rapid
deliveries. You might have to pay for the taxi if you
want express delivery. On busy nights (Fridays, Saturdays)
deliveries are unlikely. The Shammy has delivered to
many an odd location and has a decent range of other
