BASIC
DIRECTIONS
Head north from TianFu Square, and go
past the sports stadium and the Sheraton Hotel. The
PSB is roughly halfway on the way from the Chengdu Blades
stadium (or Sheraton Hotel) and Wenshu Temple.

VISA
SECTION in the Chengdu PSB
It's at the north end of ShunChengDaJie. Go in the building (steps and ramp at entrance), go straight ahead and up the stairs to the second (U.S.)/first (U.K.) floor. There are clear large signs saying 'Visa Section.'
Ask questions, request
forms and submit your paperwork at the visa desks, then
when you return to collect your visa, go to the desk
just to the left (as you face it) of the visa desk, and
give them your receipt. You will be issued with a bank
deposit slip and they will also return your visa receipt. You
go to the ICBC bank at the SE end of Zheng Fu Jie and
at the counter 2nd from right, you present
your money and the bank deposit slip. The bank
clerk will stamp both copies of the deposit slip, and
you return to the PSB visa section. Present the the
visa receipt and
the stamped deposit slip and you’ll get your passport. You
will be asked to check the details on the visa, especially
the spelling of your name and your date of birth. Also
check the validity date of the visa. The PSB processes
increasing numbers of visas now so occasionally errors
may occur. They do make sure you check the visa before
you walk away with it, though.
PAYING
FOR YOUR VISA
If you have to make a payment
to the PSB, do this at the ICBC bank about 200 metres
south of the PSB, at (presumably) No. 1 Zheng Fu Jie
(at the SE end of Zheng Fu Jie) and at the counter
2nd from right, you present your money and
the bank deposit slip. The bank clerk will stamp
both copies of the deposit slip, and you head back
to the P.S.B.
